Integral to the process was understanding the strategic intent and engagement of the organisation, including consulting with management, students, educators, researchers, staff, partners and other stakeholders.
The objective was to “enable a multi-sided digital institution, creating new models of collaboration between students, research partners, international WSU ventures, communities and industry”. The review considered key digital investments in collaboration platforms, partner ecosystem, and edtech ventures. Tech Budget and Risk Review
AAP CFO Wayne Davis engaged Fountainhead for a strategic tech risk and budget assessment for the CEO and Board in the context of a corporate divestment and reboot of the organisation. The Board adopted all recommendations, but did not immediately fund them, pending recruitment of a CEO.
New CEO Lisa Davies re-engaged Fountainhead to develop a Technology Transformation Program to pitch to the Board with the objective of securing multiple-year funding. This was successful and a three year roadmap began to cloudshift, secure, and innovate in IT.
Fountainhead was subsequently contracted to provide ongoing decision support, vendor management, escalation, governance, oversight and board reporting for a program of software, infrastructure and cybersecurity transformation projects to manage risk and ensure success.
Macquarie Graduate School of Management
Technology Risk and Operational Review
The Macquarie Graduate School of Management (now Macquarie Business School) initiated a transformation programme as an integral component of AACSB international accreditation.
Executive Dean Bill McGaw sought Marc Bailey's assistance in rebooting internal technology service, risk, people and efficiency, requiring an uplift in capability while mandating independence from its parent institution.
